  • Mix half teaspoons of bael leaf powder and turmeric powder in a tablespoon of aloe vera gel before meals.
  • 10-15 mango leaves should be boiled in a liter of water and left overnight. This mixture when consumed on an empty stomach in the morning is one of the best natural remedies for type 2 diabetes.
  • Indian gooseberry powder coupled with turmeric powder should be mixed in honey. This should be eaten every morning on an empty stomach.
  • Inclusion of garlic and onion in daily food helps reduce blood sugar level and regulate it.
  • Also, added care should be taken in terms of food eaten. Diet high in sugar with foods such as desserts – cakes, pastries, ice-creams, soft-drinks, sweets,etc. must be restricted so as to not worsen the condition. Alcohol intake should be curbed by diabetics. The diet should include more of fiber rich foods such as whole grains, cereals, brown rice, etc.
  • Exercise should become a part of daily regime to decrease and control weight.
  • High intake of water is vital so that the excess sugar flows out with the urine.
