Restless leg syndrome also known as Ekbom syndrome is a neurological disorder where there is unpleasant sensation in the legs and a constant involuntary urge to move them. It is often associated with a creeping, burning, tingling and tugging sensation in the legs. Sometimes there is deep throbbing pain, sometimes you feel that there are insects crawling on your leg, whatever may be the reason it can be an irritating signal especially at night.


Restless leg syndrome can be triggered in stressful situations, due to a nutritional deficiency or due to some chemical imbalance in the brain. Walk or exercise before sleeping – Restless leg syndrome tends to strike when a person is at rest, especially at night before going to bed.
