Posted in Category : Beauty

Skin care is extremely important and a lot of people are becoming more and more conscious of it. There are a number of problems related to the skin that you could suffer from and the ever increasing pollution and dust make it even more important for you to take care of your skin. Moreover, we expose our skin to a number of treatments after which proper skin care becomes important. Skin care after waxing and cast removal is one such thing and needs some attention. This is particularly important as there can be a considerable amount of irritation that can be caused after such procedures. A person may suffer from rash, small bumps on the surface of the skin and so on. Skin care after waxing and cast removal would thus involve applying some cream that aids in soothing the irritation. You can even apply an astringent on your skin after waxing as it gives a cooling effect reducing any itchiness. There are a few tips you need to follow for skin care after waxing and cast removal. You should not wear any tight undergarments (especially after a Brazilian wax) or clothes for the first few days after waxing. Avoid also touching the waxed area immediately as it can lead to a lot of irritation.

Besides this skin care after waxing and cast removal would also require that you avoid indulging in a hot bath on that particular day. For the next two days you would also have to abstain from saunas, steams and getting tanned. Also, if you have been in a cast for a couple of weeks, you will find a lot of dead skin underneath the cast once it is removed in which case the skin has turned very dry and scaly. It can be quite annoying to look at because of which people normally tend to remove the dead skin by peeling it off. However, you should not do that and let the dead skin fall off in time. Skin care after cast removal would require that you soak your skin in warm water for at least 20 minutes and continue to do this two times in a day. You can gently rub the area while taking a shower but make sure you do not do that vigorously. The new skin that is beneath the layer of dead skin maybe quite tender and therefore, you must ensure you do not damage it. It is not at all advised to shave or wax the particular area for a few days. You can even apply a lotion to moisturize the skin. Skin care after waxing and cast removal is therefore an important hygienic practice to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
