Would mixing a few drops of kerosene oil in camphor and white pepper be safe on my daughters skin who are 7 and 12 yrs. old, for hair removal like suggested in home remedies for hair removal in young girls?

Excessive hair at inappropriate places is a menace for women. You may resort to plucking, waxing and bleaching to remove or hide the facial hair. However, you must not use home remedies that use ingredients like kerosene oil. Young girls have sensitive skin and as such home remedies may not suffice.

Some of the unwanted hair removal home remedies, which help reduce the density of hair, are as under:

  • You may prepare a paste of turmeric mixed with gram flour and curd and apply it on the face. Once the pack dries, you may scrub it off and wash your face with cold water. This will help remove the unwanted hair in the long run.
  • Mild scrubbing with pumice stone is one of the other home remedies for unwanted hair removal.
  • You may prepare natural wax at home by mixing lemon juice with honey and sugar and then microwave it till it attains consistency. You may then apply this wax on the skin and cover it with a natural fabric cloth and pull it in the direction opposite to the direction of hair growth.
  • Another home remedy to remove unwanted hair is to prepare and apply a paste of gram flour, turmeric powder, powder of papaya seeds, mustard oil, aloe vera gel and lavender essential oil. You may allow the pack to stay on the skin for a while and then rub it off.
  • Apply a mixture of lemon juice and honey in the ratio of 1:4 on the skin area with unwanted hair, in a circular motion. Let the paste stay on the skin for a while and wash it off with cold water.
However, there aren’t any home remedies for permanent hair removal, as permanent treatment could be electrolysis or laser treatment, which requires expert and professional treatment. None the less, these natural remedies for hair removal may reduce hair to a great extent, but still the results cannot be guaranteed.
