In the early stages, the teeth are flecked with black spots of decay, later teeth may turn black and rotted all the way down to the gum line. Pulling them out is the only solution then. Black spots can also come from flurosis.
Fluorosis is a cosmetic condition, not a disease. Often, it is so mild that only a dental professional can detect it. Most cases of fluorosis result from young children taking fluoride supplements or swallowing fluoride toothpaste when the water they drink is already fluoridated. In more severe fluorosis, the teeth can become pitted and have brown, gray or black spots, and the enamel can be misshapen. Serious cases involving black spots and cases involving the front teeth are treated by removing the surface-stained areas through tooth whitening procedures. Here is a home remedy.
