Take some curd and keep it overnight in normal room temperature. Also boil some tea leaves in water. Next morning add the tea leaves water to the curd and some lemon drops and apply on hair. Keep mixture for 20 minutes in hair and wash hair with warm water and get that extra shine on your hair. It's a great conditioner for hair.

Dandruff

suggested by Jenny on Wednesday, February 20, 2008

These steps have helped relieve my dandruff symptoms:
(1) Using a natural shampoo with tea tree oil (I use giovanni triple threat)
(2) Using a homemade tonic rinse at the end of my shower (apple cider vinegar, rosemary sprig, green tea, lemon juice)
(3) Brushing/combing my scalp frequently for circulation (I use the conair copper brush on dry scalp)
(4) Staying away from hair products but if need be, it should have natural ingredients.

dandruff

suggested by DIANE on Saturday, February 9, 2008

One of the best ways to rid yourself of dandruff is to use a shampoo which you have added about 5 drops of Peppermint oil. Wash your hair and leave it on your scalp at least 10+ minutes. If it is dandruff from dry hair use a good conditioner and massage into scalp before rising. If it is oily scalp, rinse your hair with vinegar.

Lavender oil :)

suggested by [unspecified] on Saturday, September 29, 2007

Be very careful not to use too much neat oil, but Lavender essential oil (1-2 drops) on the hairbrush while washing hair seems to work very well. I tried some on my brother and he hasn't had dandruff for years.

Cure for dandruff

Wash your hair twice with mild shampoo or shampoo diluted with water. Do this everyday as oily scalp is one of the causes of dandruff. You can also try rubbing your scalp with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol.

sun & surf

suggested by knilch on Thursday, July 19, 2007

if you have access to an ocean beach, swim regularly & DON'T wash your hair straight afterwards. alternatively & in winter, make up some salt water (about as salty as you would use for boiling pasta) and use for a head bath & massage 3-4 times a week. the effect is even better when combined with a little UV exposure now and then(without burning your scalp, obviously).

dandruff/ dry scalp so you have tried everything?

suggested by [unspecified] on Saturday, June 23, 2007

i used to wash my hair and in a few minutes after i would have very dry scalp. i had it on my face, nothing helped for long. use anything that can soak in the hair root to kill bacteria or get a doc to give you an Rx $$$ketoconazole shampoo$$$ or other (use as directed).Alternate between the tar shampoo, regular shampoo, h&s. (NO OILY LOTION OR MOISTURISING SHAMPOO) about now your thinking (but lotion helps) if you must use lotion, use a non-cosmedogenic non oily lotion and you won't even need that later on, it will seem to get alot worse and when your ready to give up do it some more but trust me give it a couple - few weeks you will be so glad you did!! ps: oily scale is differant than dry scale, this is for oily scale. hope it helps :)
