Posted in Category : Natural Cures

If you have ever suffered through a case of dandruff you know how embarrassing the situation can be. Not only will the little white flakes show up on all of your dark clothing, but dandruff will have you scratching at your scalp constantly. You will feel as though everyone knows that you have this problem. Luckily, there are things you can do to treat those stubborn cases of dandruff—and many of these solutions are inexpensive and easy to use.

Start by washing properly:

The first thing you will want to do is to wash your hair properly. Many times, dandruff is caused by not getting all the styling products and shampoo residue out of your hair. Rinse your hair several times before stepping out of the shower. You may even want to switch to a different type of styling product or brand of shampoo. Many times this will take care of the problem.

Try medicated shampoos:

There are several popular brands of medicated shampoo on the market. You probably already know the big names. Look for a good quality shampoo and one that has been approved by the FDA for treating dandruff. This is a good first step in treating the problem.

Try home remedies:

Home remedies may also be on the order for treating dandruff. Washing your hair in vinegar, apple cider vinegar and even lime juice may be helpful. These will help soothe the itchy skin as well.

Change your diet:

You will also want to take a look at your diet. What are you eating? If the answer is junk food, then try adding a varied diet plenty of fresh fruit and veggies. Avoid meats, caffeine and refined products and see if it makes any difference.

You are not alone in your problem. Try some of these tips to help cure your stubborn dandruff.
