Fitness: The Best Workout to Lose Fats & Tone Up Your Body

by Garreth Myers

Several weight watchers across the world have made numerous attempts at trying to get rid of excess fat from their body and unfortunately, many of them have been unsuccessful, for various reasons. This is probably why many people are convinced that their body just likes to accumulate fat; they feel that their bodies do not respond to any attempts of burning the fat off. Many men and women also spend hundreds or maybe even thousands of dollars each year, at fitness centers, following fad diets or taking weight loss supplements, just so that they can get rid of some of the fat that seems to have accumulated in their bodies. There are many products and diet plans in the market today, that claim to help people burn their excess fat, without starving them. However, not only are these products and services very expensive, but some of them do not even show the results that they are supposed to. In fact, most supplements and fad diets could have an adverse effect on the body and therefore, they should be strictly avoided. This does not mean that people have to live with the fat that they have; fortunately, there are many ways in which people can burn fat and tone up their bodies, by following a workout plan.

Most people who want to tone up their bodies, by building their muscles, are advised to spend time in weight training. While cardio exercises help elevate the heartbeat rate and burn calories at a faster rate, they do not tone up the body as effectively as weight training does. Moreover, when people spend time lifting weights, their muscle tissues are literally destroyed, during the course of the exercise. Their bodies are then then forced to repair these muscle tissues and the entire procedure of doing so has incredible potential to burn the fat that is accumulated in the body. Not only does weight training help a person burn a very high number of calories during the workout session, but people continue burning calories during the entire course of the day, as their bodies keep repairing the damage to the muscle that was inflicted in the gym. There are many people who spend several hours a day, engaging in weight training every single day of the week, without seeing the results that they are expecting. This is because overdoing it can actually cause the growth of the muscles to slow down and even worse, it could cause a significant amount of damage on them. Therefore, it is absolutely essential for people to ensure that they follow a proper fitness plan, preferably one that has been designed by a fitness expert. Most health and fitness experts advise people to work on building the muscles in a particular area of the body, no more than twice a week, in order to prevent the risks of any injuries. In addition to that, the body needs a break from weight training, at least on one day in the week, which is when weight training should be avoided.

The workout to lose fats and tone up the body can be made even more effective, if the entire body is exercised, not just the arms, chest and abs. Hence, people can force their bodies to perform a metabolism boosting repair job on several muscles in their bodies. This increases the fat burning ability of the entire body, thereby expediting overall weight loss and toning up several different parts of the body. Unfortunately, not a lot of people are aware of the fact that they can enhance the fat loss and toning up process, by putting their entire body through weight training.

In addition to weight training, there are several other dos and don’ts that should be followed by those who want to build their muscles and tone up their bodies. One of the most important factors of building one’s body is eating foods that are high in protein, which include eggs, skinless chicken, lentils, beans, soy products, dairy products, beef, pork and certain varieties of seafood. In addition to that, there are quite a few food items that are excellent for burning the fat that has accumulated in the body. Given below are some of the most commonly recommended fat burning foods, which should be a part of every weight watcher and body builder’s diet:

  • Cayenne peppers, habaneros and jalapenos, to kick start the metabolism and burn fat at a rate that is 25% faster
  • Eggs, as they help to destroy the fat cells in the body. However, this food item should be consumed in moderation.
  • Green teas is very high in antioxidants and can help prevent several ailments, increasing the fat burning process in the body
  • Skim milk is high in calcium and it helps to increase the metabolism in a person. Studies indicate that those who drink skim milk regularly are a lot more likely to lose weight and build muscle, than those who don’t.
  • Oatmeal is an excellent fat burner as it keeps a person full for a much longer period of time thereby reducing the intake of calories, which helps expedite the weight loss process.
  • Olive oil is usually recommended for most weight watchers, as it allows them to burn fat at a faster rate. Food cooled in olive oil is a lot healthier than food cooked in many other oil types.
  • Chicken is very high in protein and if it is cooked in the right manner, it can be great for weight loss purposes too.
  • Lean pork makes the body burn a lot of calories during the digestion procedure, which is why most weight watchers and body builders are advised to include pork in their diets. However, sausage and pork ribs should be strictly avoided, as they could increase the content of fat in the body.
  • Salmon, tuna and sardines are packed with nutrients, but are low in calories. Hence, they are great for weight loss and muscle building purposes.
  • Lean beef is quite difficult to digest and the body burns many calories in the process. Moreover, beef is a good source of protein, which is why it helps in building muscles.
