A strong UV light pointed at the nail for a few hours each day for 1 week got rid of my 7 year toenail fungus. After all those remedies, trials and tribulations. There was no mistake, It was cured in about 3 weeks. Light particles in the UV range penetrate the nail and the fungus is killed. Fungus only likes dark areas.

Treatment
suggested by susan on Friday, June 30, 2006

Soak your toenails in a bleach/water solution (as strong as you can tolerate) everyday, 15 min. for 2 weeks. After that, file them down every two weeks and repeat treatment once a week. Clip away the dead nail as you go, and continue treatment for at least once a week until entire nail is healthy. After 4 months, half my nail was healthy!
