on Wednesday, August 22, 2007
when i feel a headache/migraine starting,i put an ice pack over my eyes/nose/temples for about 5 mins on wait a few mins then repeat.also niacin works but can get very warm/itchy,use a benedryl tab. also prescription RELPAX is the ultimate fast relief, but can be very expensive without insurance.but when i cannot spare anytime from missing work or meeting,RELPAX is the best! it has saved me from missing alot of time from work!

Immediate Migraine Relief
suggested by Nashira
on Tuesday, May 1, 2007
If pain is severe enough to be desperate...here is what I do: Mix a packet of BC powder in about 6 oz. of regular coca cola. Then put cayenne pepper under your tongue and lay down with a rolled up towel under the neck. I works for me when the pain is unbearable. I also know from experience that the enema thing works also...but you're not usually in the mood to do this when you're in pain.

Magnesium
suggested by [unspecified] on Wednesday, April 18, 2007
My daugher was suffering frequently from migraine headaches. I researched for days on end and finally came up with something that really worked. She went from having severe migraines frequently to now only 3 a year and they are less severe.
The biggest chance is making sure that she has a lot of magnesium rich foods daily.
2. Limit foods that have food dyes
3. Limit fried foods
4. Eat lots of healthy foods...fruits/vegtagbles
5. Get plenty of sleep
Hope this will help others!

Crushed Mustard
suggested by Dr. Priyadarshani
on Saturday, April 7, 2007
My husband suffers chronic migraine attacks.During its initiation, he crushes a pinch or two of mustard in 2 OR 3 drops of water, dips a tiny blob of cotton into it to absorb the decoction, lies down flat on a flat surface and squeezes the cotton into the nostril corresponding to the aching side of the head and breathes in the decoction vigorously sp that he feels its sourness run through his gullet. This first clears the blocked nose. After lying with eayes closed, relaxed in a dark, silent odourless room, he finds relief within 20 minutes to the max.He also takes a time controlled pill when he is at work when he cant try this remedy.Steam inhalation every morning and night will also help.
