Those diagnosed with incontinence should ensure that they do not smoke and even completely avoid the consumption of alcohol as well as practice Kegel exercises. They should also ensure that they avoid the consumption of certain bladder irritants such as spicy foods, alcohol etc, instead eat more fiber and exercise on a regular basis. Fiber is known to be effective in preventing constipation and maintaining a healthy bowel system. Exercising is also known to be effective in not only controlling the symptoms of urinary incontinence as well as prevention of urinary incontinence.
