I have irregular menses problem and harmons are not working correctly. Please advice me medicine to have regular menses as soon as possible?

Irregular menstrual cycles or periods can be due to several reasons like problems related to your thyroid, stress, anemia (deficiency of iron in your body), being underweight or overweight, too much of exercise, etc. A woman’s periods start at the age of 13 years of age and last till about 50 years of age. Usually you should get your periods every 28 days but in some cases it might also be more up to about every 34 days. A healthy cycle is regular, around the same time every month usually within five days of the last time. Women with regular periods may have about thirteen cycles every year and about 450 periods in their entire lifetime. The menstrual bleeding is controlled by estrogen and progesterone that are the female hormones. The lining of the uterus gets thick and full of blood vessels because of the hormone estrogen while progesterone matures the cells that line the inside of the uterus and causes them to fill with chemicals which will be needed for pregnancy. These hormone levels drop when there is no pregnancy and the cell lining inside the uterus breaks open and releases prostaglandin chemicals. When this happens it causes bleeding or periods. To ensure that you get your periods on time you would need to figure out the cause for the irregularity of your periods and avoid it. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and a daily routine that will help to keep your mind and body fit and healthy. Drink lots of fluids like water and fresh fruit juices throughout the day to keep your body hydrated and to flush out the toxins from your system. Eat well balanced meals that consist of fresh dark green leafy vegetables and whole grains, sprouts, fruits and buttermilk. Avoid smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. Practice yoga and or exercise regularly or at least go for walks.

You may try the following home remedies to regulate your periods:
  • Mix fresh beet root and carrot juice and drink everyday for at least 3 months.
  • Eat 2 tablespoons full of fenugreek sprouts with your salads daily.
  • Eat half a teaspoon of fennel seeds daily to regulate your monthly cycle.
  • Drinking a glass of fresh grape juice daily also helps to regulate periods.
  • Make a decoction of sesame seeds, cumin and panela. This is thought to help start the periods.
