Health advice on parkinsons disease Parkinson's disease results from damage to the nerves in the area of the brain responsible for controlling muscle tension and movement — the basal ganglia. A patient affected by Parkinson's disease should be helped and encouraged to maintain a stable and positive mental attitude and also lead an active life as much as possible.
Exercise, preferably walking, goes a long way in improving the patient's health.
There is no home remedy to cure the disease, but the patient's diet plays an important role in controlling it. A daily consumption of fresh fruit or vegetable juices like apple, pineapple, orange, spinach, carrot or cabbage, diluted in water on a ratio of 1:1 should be provided to the patient. This helps stimulate bowel movement and provides several other health benefits.
The patient should also consume fresh fruits, such as apple, peach, papaya, grapes, and orange, as they provide energy without an excess of protein. You should also rely on nuts and grains, raw seeds, , sprouts, raw milk ( goat's milk is preferable) and vegetables. Green leafy vegetables and yellow turnips are very helpful.
On the whole, a low protein diet of organic foods that are uncooked is best for the patient. The patient should preferably not consume tea, caffeine, salt, spices or condiments, and avoid all tinned and processed foods. These are however only general health measures and you should consult your doctor as medical drug treatment is eventually required to cure or treat the patient.
