A healthy circulation is very important to avoid any kind of health problems. Peripheral vascular disease is a common cause for circulatory problems. Other conditions which can hamper blood circulation in the legs involve obesity, smoking, imbalanced diet, high blood pressure, lack of physical activity, diabetes, high cholesterol, certain thyroid or nerve condition or sitting in an immobile cramped condition for long hours. It is very important to identify the cause and treat it to avoid circulation problems and blisters in legs. Try the following tips to ease your problem –

  • Firstly lose weight if you are above your ideal body weight. This will not only improve your blood circulation in legs but will also cure the blisters which are due to circulation problem.
  • Take two buckets. Fill one with hot water and salt and the other with cold water. Soak your legs in hot water bucket for a minute and then in cold water bucket for 30 seconds. Continue this activity for about 8-10 minutes. This will help improve your blood circulation in legs.
  • Be physically fit. Exercise. A simple walk for 40 minutes daily will help a lot.
  • Avoid sitting in a cramped position for a long time. Keep your legs in motion.
  • If you have any other health problem like diabetes or high blood pressure learn to get them under control by following a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise.
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking completely.
Consult a specialist if the blisters worsen to get a correct diagnosis and treatment would follow accordingly.
