One of the home remedies for dry scalp and dandruff treatment includes mixing together the seed as well as the peel of the ash gourd in some coconut oil. This oil along with the seeds and peel should be boiled together and then applied on ones scalp after straining and cooling the oil. Another one of the home remedies for dry scalp and dandruff treatment is also to use products that contain rosemary as it is known to help in restoring the health of the scalp and thereby revitalize ones hair as well. Home remedies for dry scalp and dandruff also include preparing a mixture of vinegar and water and applying this on one’s scalp every night just before going to bed. Alternatively one may also prepare a mixture of lemon juice and water and apply this on ones scalp just an hour before going for a bath. Similarly seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp treatment involves ensuring that one does not use too hot water while washing ones hair. As part of the home remedies for dry scalp and dandruff, one should also ensure that they follow a diet that is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and also fresh fruits and vegetables that will provide the body and the scalp with the required nutrition to stay healthy.

What are some of the treatments for dry itchy scalp ?

One of the home remedies for a dry itchy scalp is to apply some olive oil on the scalp and let it stay overnight before washing it off with some luke-warm water. While applying olive oil gently massage the scalp with your fingers as this will stimulate the blood circulation in the scalp. Treatment for dry itchy scalp also includes preparing a mixture of three oils – coconut oil, olive oil and almond oil. After leaving the oils on your hair overnight, massage the scalp with some fresh lemon juice before washing hair. Treatment for dry itchy scalp also includes avoiding the use of shampoos that have a high chemical content as these chemicals tend to strip the scalp off its natural oils. An effective home remedy for the treatment of dry itchy scalp is to apply the paste of some fenugreek seeds that have been soaked overnight on the scalp. Leave this on the scalp for at least an hour before washing it off.
