Dry scalp health advice

What can I do for an extremely dry, itchy scalp? I have used the medicated shampoos and greases over in the stores but nothing really takes care of it.

Dry scalp or dandruff can be caused by general impairment of the health, using harsh shampoos, intake of wrong foods, constipation or emotional stress. It is very important to clean your scalp to avoid dry skin and dandruff.

Try these home remedies for your dry and itchy scalp -
Make the last rinse with fresh lime juice after you wash our hair.

This will help to remove the dry skin from the scalp.
Crush 2 aspirins and mix in your anti-dandruff shampoo and massage this mixture lightly to wash hair. This is very effective remedy to remove the dandruff and dry skin.
Boil the beet root along with its roots in water. Use this water to massage the scalp, leave it over night and wash it in the morning.
If your dry scalp and itchiness is due to scalp psoriasis then apply your favorite oil or even a petroleum jelly immediately after you take a shower. This will help and your skin will not flake. Sun bath and warmer place helps dry itchy scalp. Cold compresses also works for dry scalp psoriasis. Put some ice in the plastic bag or wrap in a towel and hold against affected area.
