i have some pimple on my face, it increase in summer, please advise?

It is very common for pimples and acne to increase during summer. However, it is easy to control this problem by making a few modifications to your daily skin care routine as well as your diet. It is important that you follow your skin care regimen regularly to ensure that your skin is free of pimples and blemishes.

Pimples are caused by a blockage within the pores of the skin. These blockages are formed by the accumulation of dead skin cells and sebum (the body’s natural oil). Bacteria within the pores increases rapidly and this causes the inflammation. During summer, your body perspires more to keep your body temperature lower. This in turn triggers the sebaceous glands to produce more oil to keep your skin moisturized. It is therefore important to keep your skin clean as well as cool to reduce sweat and sebum production. You should wash your face at least twice a day with a face wash. Make sure that your face wash suits your skin type. In addition to this, rinse your face throughout the day with cold water as this will help to keep your skin cool as well as free of dust and grime. You can blend a cucumber and apply the blended paste to your face to refresh and rejuvenate your skin. This is especially useful if you have been outdoors during the day.

In addition to your face wash, you should also use a face scrub about twice a week. A face scrub helps to get rid of the uppermost layer of dead skin cells. It is better to avoid cosmetic face scrubs as they contain additional chemicals that can irritate the delicate new layer of skin. You can make your own face scrub out of fresh orange juice or tomato juice, honey and sugar. Mix these ingredients and use the coarse paste to gently scrub your face clean. If you have dry skin, you can first apply a little full fat milk to your face and allow it to dry before you use this scrub. If, on the other hand, you have oily skin, you can apply a little lemon juice to your face. Allow it to dry completely and then rinse it off with warm water. This will help to dissolve the excess oil and dead skin cells on the surface of your skin before you scrub your face.

Your diet also plays a very large role, so make sure that you include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. You should also cut down on processed flour products especially bakery products as these can trigger an acne outbreak. In addition to this, cut down on your consumption of junk food especially fried foods as these will increase the likelihood of pimples and skin problems.
