Stop a cold by stopping a sore throatt

suggested by Randy on Saturday, October 20, 2007

Attacking a sore throat is the best way to stop a cold in its tracks as this is usually the first symptom. Most foods/liquids that are stable at room temperature are naturally anti-bacterial/viral. At the first sign of thoat sensativity, I gargle with Vodka, which usually knocks it out. If you have caught it late, line up three or four glasses of non-sweet alchohol like vodka, warm water with lots of salt dissolved, vineager (I use balsamic), mouthwash, cayeene pepper dissolved in water, that sort of thing. Relief is usually instant. Salt and vineager chips are good if you are at the office or on the road. I also combine with a heavy hit of eggs in the morning, like a denver sandwhich. Usually by noon, the throat and the cold are forgotten. I have not had a sick day in 5 years due to this remedy.

Chest Colds

For a chest cold my mother used to rub Vicks Vapor Rub on my chest and back then she would take parts of the newspaper and put it over the Vicks Vapor Rub and then a shirt over it. It would absorb the cold from my body. I would sleep with it and by the next day I would feel like new!

Common Cold

When feeling the early symptoms of the common cold coming on, do this and you feel better in no time. Draw a bath, as hot as you can stand. Pour one whole bottle of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide in and a full container of Morton's Salt. Get in a soak for as long as you possible can, twenty minutes at least. Good Luck!!

Hydrogen Peroxide

When you feel the symptoms coming try putting a hydrogen peroxide in your ears...5 minutes on each side, morning and evening. This works for no understandable reason in 75% of all cases...it works for me.

Cold & Sinus

Pour Dr.Pepper and heat on a stove equal to a hot cup of coffee. If you overheat you loose the carbonation and it will not do any good. The carbonation fizzing as you drink soothes a sore throat and clears nasal passages.

I guarantee it

suggested by Samantha on Monday, February 12, 2007

I used to get colds all the time. Bad colds. Flat on my back for a solid week. Then I'd go into bronchitis. If you use these remedies, you will never suffer a bad cold again. At the first signs of a cold, take one teaspoon of Active Manuka Honey every three hours. http://www.umfactivemanukahoney.com/ Take 15 drops of grapefruit seed extract in some orange juice 3 times a day. http://store.allhealthtrends.com/pgi-productspec?NB-1001 Take 1 teaspoon of silver 3 times a day http://www.naturesstore.com/product_main.asp?productcode=387&BrandID=25&Browse= Take Zicam. Drink a lot of water.
