Cold and Running Nose Natural Remedies
Running nose is typically caused by infection or allergy. Also referred to as rhinitis or postnasal drip, running nose is a common accompaniment with cold and cough. Thick and discolored mucus indicates an infected sinus. Production of excess mucus results in its movement back into the throat which causes cough, especially in the nights.
Drainage of mucus results in blockage of nose, sinus or the ear, thereby contributing to pain. Nasal sprays prove beneficial in certain cases, as recurrence is seen. Injury to the head, cold, hay fever, flu, entry of a foreign matter, bacterial infection and sinusitis are the common causes of nasal discharge. Reduced hearing, in your case might be attributed to stuffy nose. Sinus infection and allergy also causes a blocked ear. Yawning helps such situations.
Swallowing is also an effective remedy for clogged eras . A chewing gum is also helpful. Obstruction and congestion of the nasal passage results in sleep disorders and headaches. Fever is also due to infection of the ear and nose. Nasal aspiration is an effective technique. Visit your physician for further guidance, as all your symptoms need a look.
