If you want long hair, you need to take care of your hair to prevent it from getting damaged. Healthy hair will grow better than hair that is damaged. Anybody would like their hair to look glossy and smooth, and if you follow the right techniques while shampooing, styling and drying your hair, you will look better too.

Hair Care Tips:

  • Wile shampooing you need to follow a simple tip to reduce hair breakage. Wet your hair thoroughly and then use a coin-sized dollop of shampoo. Apply it on your hair with both your hands and lather for about thirty seconds.
  • After you complete shampooing, rinse your hair with cool water. This is supposed to seal the moisture within the shafts of the hair.
  • Wrap a towel around your head to seal, and the cloth will absorb the water.
  • While brushing or combing your hair, use the back to front strokes. Make sure that your scalp tingles slightly. With your fingertips massage your scalp. This is supposed to distribute the natural oils evenly through the scalp. You can brush backwards too. This make the hair look full and glossy.
  • Before you use a blow dryer, dry your hair with a towel. This way, you will not only save time, but your hair won’t get damaged with too much of heat.
  • While brushing your hair, moisten your hair to reduce static electricity.
  • You need to pay attention to your diet for healthy and long hair. Cut down on the fats and cholesterol as these can give a lifeless look to your hair.
  • Make a rinse at home with beer and water, and use it to rinse your hair after shampooing. This remedy makes your mane look glossy.

Homemade Hair Remedies:

  • Massage your hair with olive oil. You can also use virgin coconut oil. A good scalp and hair massage can nourish the hair and improve the blood circulation in the scalp.
  • Use an egg yolk for healthier hair. Beat the yolk and massage it into your hair. Keep this on for a few minutes, before shampooing and rinsing it off. Try this once a week for about a month for shinier and healthier hair.
  • Some like to apply mayonnaise to the hair before they shampoo. This also is an effective remedy for long hair.
  • Mix some fresh lemon juice with a cup of distilled water. After you shampoo, comb the concoction through your hair.
  • Make sure that you are getting enough sleep and rest.
