Eating a small portion of garlic, either cooked or raw. For children, the garlic can be mixed with honey.

Make a mixture using petroleum jelly of a good brand and some crush garlic. This mixture can be applied directly on to the anus, in order to kill the worms as well as the eggs. This home remedy is also said to bring about immediate relief.

The consumption of freshly grated coconut, followed by some castor oil after two to three hours is believed to be very effective.

In case these home remedies do not prove to be very effective, it may be necessary to speak to a doctor, for the right medication. However, the medicines used in the treatment of pinworms could evoke mild gastrointestinal side effects.

If you can get some quinine, mix one capsule into a tsp of vasaline, rub a small amount around you anus inside and out.
