Lice are parasites, living on humans and feeding on their blood. They are found in human hair, on the human body and in the pubic area. Public lice infest the hair in your pubic area. When people share their bed clothes, sheets, towels, or when they engage in intimacy, they are often in danger of contracting pubic lice. The saliva of lice contains a toxin that causes itching. Pubic lice cause itching too and you will notice that you have scratch marks on your genitals.

To get rid of these lice, you can make a mix of oil of pennyroyal, distilled water and some garlic. Apply this to your pubic hair for three days. However you will need to strictly adhere to the next step too. Wash all your clothes in hot water, including your bed clothes. After they dry, iron them using a really hot iron. This will help you get rid of the lice. Since lice also lay eggs on human hair, you should repeat this a couple of times, after intervals of 5-6 days. Else, the eggs hatch and lead to a reinfection.

Although lice are not dangerous, they can spread infections. Also, their bites causes a severe itching which often results in a break in your skin. The broken skin could lead to infections. That is why visiting a doctor in order to get a complete check up is advisable.
