Dizziness can happen for a variety of reasons. Some of them are:
1)     Symptom of a hangover after getting drunk with too much alcohol consumption
You can read more about it here: http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com/articles/47/medicines-and-remedies/hangover-too-sozzled-to-react.html
2)     Anemia (Get your hemoglobin levels checked from your blood test reports)- Visit this site for more information and natural home treatments: http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com/remedy/Anaemia.html
3)     Conditions that affect the inner ear in the organ of balance (the labyrinth). E.g. Meniere’s disease, benign positional vertigo and viral labyrinthitis (or vestibular neuronitis)
4)     Sunstroke
5)     Severe Diarrhoea can cause dehydration and dizziness.

6)     Rarely in conditions which affect the brain
7)     Low blood pressure or heart beat abnormalities.

8)     High blood pressure can also cause dizziness.

Dizziness can be cured only after identifying the exact cause.

Some simple treatments to keep in mind:
-Avoid sudden jerky head movements if you have benign positional vertigo.
-Change posture slowly: Stand up slowly from a seated or lying down position if your blood pressure falls on standing quickly.
-Keep yourself hydrated: Excessive perspiration and dehydration may cause blood pressure to fall and you end up losing important minerals. So drink at least 8-12 glasses of water especially in summers. If you exercise, drink water before exercise as well as after.
-Breathe slowly and steadily to restore balance.
-Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can cause problems.
-Restrict diet drinks: In some people, long term usage of foods with sweeteners containing aspartame (such as NutraSweet) inhibits uptake of substances that affect nervous system and balance. Check labels for aspartame before buying.
- Peppermint or chamomile are soothing and relaxing.
- Try placing your head between your knees to help return blood flow to the head.
-When you get a dizzy spell (due to anxiousness), keep a water bottle half frozen with water. Place it at the back of your neck while you are sitting or lying down. It should give you quick relief. You could also use an ice bag.
