Health advice for white spots on thigh

The white spots on your thighs may be the result of disorders like idiopathic guttate, vitiligo hypomelanosis or tinea versicolor. It could also be a case of leucoderma, in which the natural skin coloring pigment, melanin gradually disappears from certain parts of the skin, leaving behind pale spots and patches. You should consult a dermatologist to determine the exact cause for the occurrence of these spots.

You could, however, follow a few simple home remedies to address the problem. Apply a mixture of honey, beeswax and olive oil mixed in equal proportions on the affected area. Use garlic extract or olive leave extract as a nutrient supplement that helps to keep your skin healthy. Tea tree oil is known to have disinfectant properties, so mix it in with your body wash or apply a diluted solution of this oil mixed with petroleum jelly or mineral oil to the affected area to treat the discoloration of the skin. Each of these natural agents cures and prevents infection, so if the spots are the result of fungal growth, these can serve as effective natural cures. Besides these, you could also try sunbathing for half an hour early in the morning. Avoid using cosmetics on the affected area, as they contain chemical agents that might trigger and worsen the condition. Cut down on your consumption of citrus fruits like lime, orange, tamarind, as well as sea food like crabs, prawns and lobsters. Reduce your consumption of salt too. Another effective remedy is to take an equal quantity of Psoralea corylifolia and tamarind seeds and soak them in water for three to four days, then make a paste of it and massage the affected area with it. If you are unable to find Psoralea corylifolia seeds, then you can use tamarind seeds by themselves.

Consuming ginger juice also helps improve blood circulation and reduces white patches on the skin. Eating figs and walnuts is also known to help. Grind dried pomegranate leaves into a fine powder, sieve it and consume a pinch of this powder every morning with a glass of water. Drinking butter milk daily cures de-pigmentation too. Consuming a mixture of 100gms each of alfalfa and cucumber juice is also an effective remedy. A dry mixture of ground margosa leaves, flowers and fruits consumed every day also cures white spots. A solution made by boiling a clean basil plant in half a liter of water and half a liter of oil should be allowed to cool down till the moisture evaporates. Now apply this extract to the white spots.
