Try the following home remedies to decrease your allergy symptoms -
- Keep a humidifier on in your bedroom when you sleep at night.
- Spread a bedspread on your bed during the day time and remove it at night before sleeping. This way extra dust won’t get accumulated on your night’s bed sheet.
- Wash all your bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, bedspreads once in a week in hot water and dry them thoroughly in sun.
- Vacuum all the furniture, upholstery and other areas in the house where dust can get accumulated. Remember to wear a mask while using a vacuum to avoid these dust allergens reaching your lungs.
- Check your food intake and stay away for those foods which alleviate your symptoms.
The only way to cure an allergy completely is to stay away from the allergen. Consult a specialist if the wheezing or congestion worsens for immediate medical attention.
