Prune juice for curing constipation in babies



There are several excellent home remedies available for constipation in babies. The important thing to remember is that you must not try anything yourself till the baby is three months old. Always act under the supervision of a pediatrician till the infant reaches the age of three months. Even after this, it is always advisable to keep the pediatrician informed about what you are doing with a baby till the child turn at least a year old. This way, if any complications occur, you know you have informed help at hand. Warm water is an excellent remedy for constipation in babies. Feed them warm water with a pinch of sugar to it and it will loosen their bowels considerably quickly and well. If this remedy does not work, you must try to give the baby prune juice. Prunes are exceptionally high in fiber content and will loosen the baby's bowels almost at once. Maker sure that this is diluted by half, however. You can also give the baby a bit of mashed peach pulp. Peaches are an excellent remedy for constipation.

Alternately, you can also feed the baby peach juice. Papayas are yet another highly effective remedy given for constipation. They will not only move the bowels, they will also cleanse the baby's intestines along the way. However, it is essential to remember that papaya is not a fruit that should be given to a child till it reaches at least six months of age, so you would need to keep that in mind. Pears are yet another fruit that will ease the baby's system and make it go. You can give pear pulp or pear juice, whichever is more appropriate according to the age of the baby. Generally, you should make sure the child is consuming a lot of fluid, as this will generally prevent stools from hardening too much and causing constipation.
