Drink a couple sips of water through a paper towel over the top of the glass. May sound strange, but it's always worked for me!

Take a spoon full of sugar...yes, it really works just like Mary Poppins said it would. I have also had success with a teaspoon of honey or if you're in a pinch try a piece of candy.

May seem strange, but try eating about a teaspoon of peanut butter without drinking liquids for a couple of minutes. It always works for me!

fill a cup with water... place a straw in it. Plug your ears by pushing the little flaps inward to create total air blockage... then drink thru the straw while keeping the ears plugged. This has never failed me in 40 yrs.!
