Fungal Infections

Fungal infections are caused by fungi, these are most of the times skin infections, the reason being fungi live off keratin which is found in abundance on skin, hair and nails.



There are several types of fungal infections; each one is called differently because of location of infection on the body.

Yeast infections are caused by yeast or candida, which is ever present in our body, this infection generally, is cause on tongue or in the digestive system, out immune system keeps fighting yeast, people most likely to contact yeast infections are those taking medications like antibiotics.

Another fungal infection is called athletes foot, fungus combines with bacteria to cause soggy skin in between toes. This can also cause itching.



This infection is generally transmitted in public places or very crowded places.

Skin infections caused can make skin itchy, patchy or generally irritating. Fungal infection to skin can grow if adequate steps are not taken in time.



Skin infections can be cured by application of creams especially made for specific purposes. This cures fungal infection fast and effectively.

Fungal infections can also affect lungs, since these can affect lymph nodes, these infections are called sporotichosis, a fungal infections where the fungi affect the lymph nodes and causes painless bumps, this happens especially on skin, feet and hands. Nail infections are another type of skin infections caused by fungi.
