There are several infections a body requires to fight against.



Some of the infections might be mildly irritating, whereas some of these are more serious in nature. Infections can affect practically any part of the body; therefore, it is necessary to know different types of infections and their causes.

There are common infections like ear infections, colds, etc. which are mildly irritating, these irritations are generally caused by fungal growth inside the ear and getting help from the doctor becomes highly necessary.

Some of the more difficult infections are yeast infections, yeast or candida is present everywhere in our body. It is out immune system which keeps yeast in check. However yeast can become infectious when the level of immunity drops. When a person is on medical treatment and taking antibiotics can lead to yeast infection. Other infections are like flu, parasites; urinary tract infections etc. infection like flu is caused due to virus which enters the body through air. These infections are harmless and can cause fever muscle aches and leg pains. Flu or Influenza can be dangerous for the elderly or young babies. Influenza generally involves, fever, cold, chest congestion, running nose, etc.

Parasite infections are different types of infections, this is when two different types of parasites co-exist inside the body, and their interaction gives out different reaction in the body giving infections.

Common cold as the name suggests is the most common type of infection. This is caused when the virus from one person is transmitted to another person causing irritation and congestion inside the nose; it also causes running nose, headaches and fevers. Common cold bout lasts up to 4-5 days long.

Infection of the urinary tract is called urinary tract infection; this infection can affect any part of the urinary tract. Urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria which live in digestive system, bladder, and urethra or anywhere in the digestive and urinary tract system. Most of the times, this bacteria flows out of the body, there might be times when this bacteria affects the urinary tract system, it happens more in number of women than men. Many women are affected by this infection regularly. The symptoms of urine infection are burning sensation at the time or urination, redness or murky urine, fever, feeling the need of urinating again and again.

Most of the above infections can be taken care of, by medication, and by taking adequate care of hygiene.

Common cold and flu occur due to various strains of viruses that keep mutating, thus causing different kinds of symptoms in different people. However, a runny nose, low grade fever, general malaise, and cold and cough are the main symptoms of both common cold and flu. Vaginal infections are also caused by bacteria, though yeast may also be sometimes causing the infection. Cold sores, which are also a skin infection, are caused by the herpes virus.

Bladder Infections: Bladder infection causes the urinary system to collapse. You may feel pain and burning while passing urine and you will keep having the urge to urinate often.
