Causes of Breast Cancer

The exact causes of breast cancer are still unknown. What is known however, is that there are certain risk factors that increase the chances of a person developing this type of cancer. While having a risk factor does not necessarily mean you will get the disease, it does indicate a higher chance as compared to women with no apparent risk factors. Certain types of factors such as age or race cannot be changed, whereas others that are related to the environment or lifestyle habits can be altered or changed to reduce the chances of developing the disease.
