Elbows are one of the most neglected parts of the body. In our day to day life we hardly pay attention to care for the elbows and the result is invariably a dirty and uncared for elbow. Elbows are one of the primary hinge joint of the body and this positioning helps in small amount of rotation like straightening or eating. If proper care is not taken then it usually ends up with a problem. The skin of the elbow is generally devoid of oil glands. This tends to make our skin dry and dark in color. Even the dirt is clearly visible in this area. Proper care makes it look clean and healthy.

  • Coconut oil is one of the best remedy to avoid dryness in elbows. Apply in small quantity and massage well.
  • The elbows can be kept clean by rubbing with pumice stone. It acts both as a antiseptic and a smoothing agent.
  • While having a bath, the elbows should be rubbed regularly and should be moisturized thereafter to give a clean look.
  • Lemon is famous for its astringent effect and hence can be rubbed on elbows.
  • One of the best home made remedies is flour. It is a good tonic to keep the elbows clean
