Homeopathy treatment for palpitation

Most of us experience heart palpitations at some time or the other, especially when we are in a stressful situation, or after engaging in strenuous physical activity. At times, the palpitations could last for no more than a couple of minutes, but some people may experience them for hours. There are many ways in which you can alleviate the palpitations faster. Given below are some of the most commonly recommended short-term heart palpitation remedies:

  • Drink two glasses of natural grape juice on a daily basis, as grapes have an excellent effect on the heart. Avoid using packaged grape juice, which is high in sugar and preservatives; make some fresh grape juice at home instead
  • Eat one guava on an empty stomach, early in the morning, as soon as you get up. This will also prevent palpitations caused by anemia or anxiety
  • Mix a teaspoon of honey to a glass of water and squeeze the juice from half a lemon into it. Drink this solution before bed time each day, to get rid of any tremors and palpitations that you experience. Honey is natural, is digested easily and usually brings about an immediate positive effect on your body.

These heart palpitation remedies are fairly safe if used correctly, but you need to speak to your doctor, before using any of them. In case you are experiencing palpitations on a regular basis, you need to consult your doctor and undergo treatment for heart palpitations as soon as possible.

Is there any relation between heart palpitation and menopause?

Yes, there is a connection between heart palpitation and menopause. Hormonal changes bring about many menopausal symptoms in women. These could lead to serious emotional, psychological and physical problems for these women. One of the most common symptoms of menopause is heart palpitations. Heart palpitations is the sudden increase in heart beat even when the person is not overexerting herself or himself. Heart palpitations and menopause are linked as these heart palpitations occur due to the hormones fluctuating at this time. These hormonal changes affect the way the heart behaves. Some other causes of heart palpitations in women at this time are as follows:-

  • As mentioned earlier, there are hormonal changes during the menopausal stage. When a woman enters menopause, there could be a lot of imbalance in the woman's body. This results in more production of the follicle stimulating hormone, than required. This then increases the production of estrogen and the level of progesterone falls. This surge in estrogen is responsible for the heart palpitations.
  • Hot flashes, stress, night sweats all contribute to the way the heart beats and pumps blood. These above factors show the connection between heart palpitations and menopause.
