Under medical terminology, hematuria or haematuria which means the presence of red blood cells in the urine is a sign of either kidney stones or a growth in the ureter or urethra, bladder, or prostate in men. If the presence of white blood is also seen in the urine then it is a sign of UTI.

Amongst herbs, dandelion, hydrangea and the leaves of parsley are good at bringing down are the inflammation. The seeds, flowers and leaves of nasturtium also prevent further bleeding and halts bladder infections. Cucumber juice also possesses amazing diuretic properties and the juice of cucumber with a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice is known to impart curative wonders. This juice must be had around three to four times during the day.

Another well-known remedy from herbs is the use of drumstick flowers for infections. In a glass of fresh coconut water add two teaspoons of the juice from freshly squeezed drumstick flowers. This drink should be had twice a day. A cold compress to the bladder area applied externally will also relieve you of the discomfort or pain if any. Do not however case the compress to chill beyond the comfort level of your skin.
