Health advice for pressure in stomach

The abdominal cavity is surrounded by muscles and tissues which make up the abdominal wall. Certain organs of the body are contained within this cavity. The stomach, liver, small intestine, colon, gall bladder and pancreas are located here. Problems arising from any of these organs will cause pain and discomfort in the abdomen. You have not mentioned any other details, and as such it is difficult to tell what condition you are actually facing. There are many factors that could be causing the condition you have described. If the pressure increases or last for a long time, it is advisable to consult a doctor who can diagnose the exact cause of the condition.

Bloating of the stomach is a symptom of excessive gas present in the digestive tract. This could be accompanied by other symptoms such as belching, excess passage of gas and pain. This is known as flatulence and can result due to a high intake of gas while swallowing or from foods that are processed in the body. GERD is another condition that causes discomfort in the stomach. It is caused due to the backward flow of stomach acid into the gullet or esophagus. Additional symptoms include burning sensation in the throat and chest. Gastritis is characterized by abdominal cramps, heartburn and excessive belching. It occurs due to inflammation of the stomach lining. Upper abdominal discomfort can also be caused by a gall bladder attack. The bile duct becomes blocked due to the presence of gall stones, thereby causing pressure in the gall bladder. This condition usually results from the intake of fatty foods. Abdominal pressure and bloating is a common symptom of this condition. UTI or urinary tract infections also cause a feeling of pressure in the stomach region, in addition to other symptoms. In this condition, bacteria enter the urinary tract and cause an infection. Discomfort during urination, bladder pain, fever and chills also occur.

The diagnosis of the condition will determine the treatment that is required. Here are some general tips on relieving stomach pain and discomfort. Drinking a glass of warm water with lemon juice and honey added to it is usually effective in relieving stomach disorders. You may also take a mixture of a teaspoon each of lemon juice and mint juice, and add a couple of drops of ginger juice and some black salt to it. Drink this for easing stomach problems. Ginger is very effective in treating stomach aches. You can extract the juice from a piece of ginger and apply it to the stomach, massaging gently.

You have not mentioned the cause for your stomach pressure. Stomach pressure or middle stomach pain can be due to a host of reasons like acid reflux, delayed gastric emptying, ulcer condition, nonulcer dyspepsia, or worms. It is important to get correct diagnosis before following any remedy. I would suggest you to visit a gastroenterologist (GI specialist) to identify the exact cause for your problem and treatment would follow accordingly.
