Natural ways to prevent acne on forehead and cheeks



Acne is one of the most common problems faced by the teenagers on account of an increase in the production of sex hormones. Acne may affect people of both the genders and it commonly affects your face and upper parts of chest and back. Acne is typically caused by changes in the sebaceous glands leading to excessive production of sebum or oil, and ultimately acne. Also, the white spots on your skin may be referred to as another skin affliction referred to as leucoderma.

Some of the easy home remedies to treat acne and white spots on the skin are as follows:

  • You may apply lemon juice on your skin. Lemon juice is rich in citric acid which serves to neutralize the sebum or oil on the skin, and as such, makes your skin free from oil. This also helps to prevent acne. You may apply lemon juice twice a day for five minutes and then wash your face for best results.
  • You may also place slices of ripe tomatoes on your skin to treat acne marks and oily skin. Tomatoes are a rich source of antioxidants, and vitamin A, and thus help relieve acne, and excessive oil on the skin.
  • You may massage your skin with olive oil, which will help you get rid of acne marks.
  • You can prepare a face mask by making a paste of oat meal, sour cream, yogurt and lemon drops. This will help you control oil on the skin, thereby controlling acne, and oily skin.
  • You can treat white spots on your skin by rubbing ice on the pigmented parts. You may also control oil by using ice on the skin.
  • Apply a paste of sandalwood, and rosewater to cure acne and white marks on the skin.
  • You can also opt for aromatherapy to cure the problem. Use lavender or cranberry essential oil in carrier oils like jojoba or olive oil to treat acne and white spots on the skin.
  • Ginger is supposed to be very effective in relieving an individual of white spot on the skin. You may apply ginger juice on your skin to relieve white spots on skin.
  • You may also apply the juice from a cabbage on your skin to relieve the problem.
  • It is also a good idea to consult a dermatologist in case the white spots or acne spread rapidly.
