Is the massage of yogurt can remove dandruff?

Yes, a massage of yogurt can surely be helpful in treating dandruff. However, it is to be remembered that the effectiveness of this massage can vary from person to person. Simply relying on yogurt massages may not always work while dealing with dandruff. Though the cycle of shedding dead skin from the scalp is normal, it becomes problematic when this becomes a rapid cycle and gives rise to an excessive amount of dead skin that begins to flake. Dandruff is actually more than a superficial nuisance; it's a disease which needs proper attention and medical treatment. Sometimes a fungal infection of the scalp may be the cause of dandruff. Several factors may contribute to the growth of dandruff - poor personal hygiene and getting infected from an already suffering person are the most common ones. However, with proper care and some natural remedies, you can control and get rid of your dandruff. Here are some of the methods, including the yogurt massage, that you can follow to get rid your dandruff.

For the yogurt massage, firstly wash your head with water. Thereafter, apply yogurt generously on the head and gently massage your scalp. Leave the yogurt on your scalp for about 20-30 minutes. After the stipulated time is over, rinse your head with water again. You can also use a mild shampoo so that all the remaining traces of yogurt are properly washed away. Continue with this treatment at least once daily, preferably before bath, until the dandruff is under control.

Besides yogurt massage, lemon juice can also become an effective way for dandruff treatment. Cut a fresh lemon, squeeze, and collect the juice in a bowl. Apply this lemon juice on scalp and massage properly for about 15-20 minutes. Then, rinse your hair properly with clean water. Doing this regularly for about a week should help in controlling the dandruff. Massaging can also be carried out in the same way by using apple cider vinegar.

Fenugreek seeds are yet another effective home remedy for dandruff treatment. Soak fenugreek seeds overnight in water and grind them in the morning to make a fine paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and leave for about an hour or so. Wash it off with clean water afterwards. Honey too can be beneficial in treating dandruff. For this treatment, mix honey in water and use it to massage your head. After about 10-15 minutes of massaging, rinse your hair with clean water.

Finally, take some notice of health and hygiene. Most often, an improper lifestyle and a faulty diet also lead to chronic dandruff. So, eat healthy, cut down on stress, and do some mild exercise.
