Premature greying of hair treatment using ribbed gourd

Premature graying of hair is directly related to a faulty diet deficient in Vitamin B, iron, copper and iodine. Other factors that lead to premature graying of hair include genetic factors, undue stress and excessive fatigue and lack of proper hair care ritual which includes regular washing and conditioning of the hair and protecting it from the harmful effects of chemicals, sun, wind and pollution. There are several ways of ensuring that your hair does not start graying prematurely. Since your hair is a natural extension of your skin and body, you should ensure that your diet is supplying the essential nutrients to your body. The B group vitamins inositol, para-aminobenzoic acid and pantothenic acid are essential for the health of your hair and prevent premature graying. You should thus include fresh curd, yeast and liver, all rich sources of Vitamin B in your daily diet. In addition you can also take Vitamin B supplements especially if you've already started noticing a few silver strands.

The use of Indian gooseberry to prevent and treat premature graying of hair is widely known. The fruit acts as a priceless tonic for hair pigmentation and hair growth and can be used to prepare a shampoo to wash your hair or oil with which you can massage your scalp twice a week. In order to prepare the oil, you should cut the fruit into small pieces and dry it in the sun and then boil it with coconut oil till the oil becomes a bark black mass. You can store this oil in a bottle and use it twice a week to massage your scalp and nourish your hair. Remember, however, not to peel the fruit because the main nutrients of any fruit always lie in the peel. Discarding the peel would be like cutting the fruit's nutrient value by half. You can also soak the pieces of Indian gooseberry overnight in water and use this water to rinse your hair after you've shampooed it. This works as an excellent conditioner and acts against premature graying of hair. Apart from Indian gooseberry, coconut oil heated with curry leaves and even ribbed gourd is beneficial for treating premature graying of hair. Application of the juice of onion on the scalp and hair around half an hour before you wash your hair is also beneficial for the health of your hair since onion acts against all hair problems and also acts against early graying. Finally a hair mask made with 2 tbsp of Henna leaves that have been dried and crushed to a powder, some yoghurt and a few drops of lemon juice can be applied on the hair for 30 minutes and washed off using a mild, natural shampoo to treat and prevent premature graying of hair.
