Bad Body Odor
I have a serious bad odor and I have it for a year now. I am not dirty, I shower everyday sometimes twice. I seem not to have a very effective social life anymore because I affend my friends from this smell. Is smoking weed a cause? Is depression?

Your body odor can be a result of several factors like poor health, excessive smoking, build up of toxins and waste in your body and yes stress and depression do cause body odor. Our body has two kinds of sweat glands called the eccrine glands and the apocrine glands that produce sweat to cool our body and to eliminate toxins from it. The eccrine glands are present on almost every part and the apocrine glands are located in the groin, around the nipples and in the armpits.
The apocrine glands produce sweat with a certain amount of oil and this leads to bacterial activity and this is what causes the body odor. You can get rid of bad body odor by following a simple daily routine.
Start your day with a glass of warm water mixed with the juice of one lemon and some honey.
Follow up with a few more glasses of plain water after some time. This will help to cleanse your internal organs before you start eating again. Exercise or practice yoga as this will open up your skin pores and make you sweat and will also help in eliminating most of the toxins in the early morning itself before you shower. Eat a healthy breakfast consisting of fresh fruits and whole cereals. Have a lunch consisting of whole grains and sprouts and lots of fresh salads. Avoid eating too much of hot and pungent foods like peppers, garlic, onion, spices and alcohol as this increases the heat in your body and increases the sweating and the smell is also carried out through your sweat. That would give you an unpleasant body odor. Avoid smoking too much weed because what you put in your body is eliminated through it in different forms and sweat is one of it. So you need to take care of what you eat and drink and smoke. Go for a natural detox as this will help greatly in getting rid of the bad body odor as it will thoroughly cleanse your system from deep within but get it done under professional supervision. A detox will also help to treat other minor problems in your body, boost your immune system and will give you a radiant glow on your skin which will automatically attract everyone towards you.
Avoid the use of cosmetic soaps, antiperspirants and deodorants as your body starts getting dependent on it and it makes your problems worse. Instead use ingredients that have a natural fragrance and are chemical free.
You can also add one cup of apple cider vinegar to your final rinse after you bathe or when you wash your clothes. This will kill the bacteria and will also help to keep your skin refreshed and odor free. You can also add fresh lemon juice to your bath, it is extremely refreshing and invigorating and the natural fruity fragrance lasts on your body making you feel and smell fresh for hours.
