Is it ok to apply some amount of vinegar and honey to prevent dark armpit?

It is fine to apply a small amount of vinegar to prevent darkness in your armpit. But this should not be done on a regular basis. Remember that vinegar is nothing but acetic acid. While it may momentarily brighten up your skin, acid will always gradually work towards darkening it in the long run. So you are better off not using this kind of a remedy, particularly in a spot that is already rich in acidic deposits to begin with. You should be aware that sweat contains uric acid which is what lends it the sourness of smell and taste. Mixing two acids this way will only work negatively. Applying honey will not only be a painful procedure, it will also not have any effect. After the application of honey, you will not be able to keep your arm at your side for some time. This will otherwise make the honey stick. There are several more effective ways by which you can lighten the darkness in your underarm without resorting to these measures. The only thing to keep in mind is that you must remain doggedly focused on following these procedures. If you stop following them half way, you will not be able to see positive results.

In order for any procedure that uses natural goods to work, you would have to provide a time frame of at least about a month or more to see it working. But keep in mind that while visible results may not manifest, a good foundation is being built for taking care of your problem. To begin with, start keeping your armpit hair short and trimmed at all times. The darkness is usually a result of too much sweat accumulating in your hairs and the acid in the sweat gradually darkening your skin. If you trim your hair, the sweat will no longer be trapped and cause problems. Make it a rule to apply mild talcum powder. This will work at absorbing the extra sweat and make you less susceptible to getting dark skin. You can start trying to get rid of the darkness by applying yogurt to the armpit and leaving it there for sometime each day. This will help to gradually lighten the color there. You can also apply fresh milk to the area for the same results. Steep a few strands of saffron in milk cream and leave this overnight. You can rub this into your skin for best results.
