Most of the strength we use is in our arms, and this is when we lift heavy objects or apply ourselves to other activities.



When we exert the strength in our arm muscles too much it often results in tiredness, stiffness of the muscles, arm pain, and this often stops us from doing other things. Repeating certain activities with our arms, in addition over a long period of time of using our arms can cause certain complications.

Arm Injuries and Disorders

The expansion of tissues can occur when too much pressure is put on the arm during work. This may also cause the tendons to widen, which evidently will produce biceps and this will be the reason for overworking.



We are bound to physical injuries from the cause of a fall or accident. In addition, other activities that require the usage of the arms like exercising and sports are also bound to injuries.

Dislocations – a sudden blow or sudden swing could dislocate the arm from the shoulder.

Sprains – this is caused when there is an excessive amount of pressure on the arm muscles, and this can occur during a workout or other activities.

Tendonitis – this is when the tendon is inflamed and this is caused by sports like tennis. Tendonitis usually causes tenderness in the muscles. Stretching, cross-training and intensity decrease may help and prevent tendonitis.



Applying ice to the tender area, taking medication and getting rest must be considered, because it will reduce the swelling and ease the pain.   

Broken arm or bone fracture or broken bone and hand surgery – this will occur in accidents or a fall. When something like this happens it is important that the necessary attention is taken to repair the injury. Surgery will be needed, and it will require placing screws, pins and placing plates to the damaged area.





There are other complications like nerve problems and nerve damage. Arthritis and also cancer can lack the performance of an arm and this can also cause pain, movement trouble, spasms and also swelling.

Wrist injuries and disorders can also occur during an activity that requires the effort of a certain move. Problems like spasms, sprains, arthritis and tendonitis can occur during an extreme activity.
