Sun poisoning home cure If you have sun poisoning, the best remedy for instant relief is to apply a paste made of clarified butter and turmeric powder. This will heal and disinfect the burn in as little as a day. For relief from the burning sensation, you can apply an ice-pack to the burnt area.
This may sting initially, but it will help in easing the pain momentarily. Alternately, you can also apply chilled vinegar. If possible, try to soak in a tub to which you have added chilled tea bags.
The tea will help to remove anti-oxidants from your body and help to heal the poisoning.
You can also try to have a milk bath. Just add a galloon of whole milk to your regular bath and soak in it for about 20 minutes. Then wash off with plain water and drip dry. Using a towel will irritate your burns further. This should help you tremendously. An effective remedy is a cream you can prepare with a tablespoon each of soured milk cream, lime juice and honey. If you apply this and leave it on for about half an hour, the results will be very good. You can also buy something known as preparation H, which is easily available at all pharmacies and apply this to the excessively poisoned areas.
