Ideal bowel movement remedies

Irregular bowel movements are often the starting point for other, more serious problems. If you do not have regular movements, then you can fall prey to a variety of illness. It is not a good idea to treat this as an unimportant issue.

To ensure that you have regular bowel movements, take a look at your diet and lifestyle. If your daily intake includes processed food and is basically bread based, then you need to do a serious rethink. Substitute white bread with whole grain breads and include lots of  fresh fruits and raw vegetables in your diet.  Try to avoid too much meat. Spicy food is a strict no-no. Restrict the number of times you drink coffee and tea. Herbal teas are a safer option.

You can sweeten the tea with some honey. Drink lots of water throughout the day. Drinking a cup of warm milk before going to bed will help you. If you suffer from constipation, sipping warm water helps.

If your constipation is severe, then you can try adding one spoon of castor oil to the milk.  However, in addition to dietary restrictions, you will also need to ensure that you get plenty of exercise. A long walk can work wonders. If your job entails sitting for long hours, take frequent breaks and walk around.
