What is a home remedy for taking off fake nails without all that pain?

Fake nails are easily removed by following a simple procedure - soak your nails in acetone. This liquid is easily available in most medical stores and is commonly called nail polish remover.

Buy the required amount of acetone, pour it into a bowl and ensure that there is no open flame in the vicinity. Acetone is extremely inflammable, so you have to take extreme caution that you do not risk fire.

After keeping them soaked for 5 minutes, try to gently peel off the fake nail on one finger. If it comes off, you can continue this process on all the fingers. If the nail doesn't come off easily, you need to soak for longer. Remember that you have to be patient and not expect things to work in seconds. For the sake of your natural nails, be slow in this process.

If the fake nail continues to stay stuck, you might want to use a nail file to try and pry if off, slowly. If this too doesn't work, there might be a problem with the acetone you are using. Consult a salon, and if all fails, visit a physician.

Take care of your natural nails and ensure that they are not exposed to acetone too often.
