Advice on blood in stool

I got a wound on the hole. Today for the first time I got blood in stool. I drank a lot of alcohol last night. Is there anything that may be serious? Please suggest. I am planning to take Ispaghula Husk. What should be the quantity?

Treat blood in Stool

Before you gulp any more unknown substances in your body it would be advisable that you visit a doctor. Alcohol does more harm in the case of internal bleeding. Blood in the stools could either indicate that the injury you received on the rectum is still raw and sore or that the injury has perhaps reached beyond the rectum further inside and that the bleeding is an indication of more than what meets the eye.

Psyllium husk or psyllium seed husks are meant to regulate hard passing of motions or constipation. It is not a treatment for bleeding wounds or bleeding stools. It is basically a stool softener and it will not help in healing the wound.

To rectify the ill effects of alcohol, you must drink copious amounts of water. This will help the body to get rid of the toxins built up overnight because of the alcohol. Alcohol is also known to have inflammatory properties and it is possible that it may have contributed to the aggravation of the blood in your stools. Since alcohol also dehydrates your body to a large extent, it is imperative that you make up for the loss of fluids through extra amounts of water drunk during the day and an immediate rush to the doctor for further treatment
