Health Advice on Canker Sore

You say that you often develop a white bump on the side of your tongue when you eat something salty or sweet. This white bump is clinically termed as canker sore or mouth ulcer. I know it may be causing discomfort, uneasiness and pain but don't worry because there are many natural cures that can help you get rid of this white bump sitting at home.

Here are some of the most effective home remedies for canker sores:

  • Firstly, limit your intake of salty and sweet foods if you know that you are allergic to these foods.
  • Grate a fresh coconut and extract milk. Gargle with the coconut milk and see the difference.
  • Add 1-cup fenugreek leaves or coriander leaves in 2 cups of boiled water and warm a little. Gargle with the strained liquid. Both fenugreek and coriander leaves have medicinal properties and are most effective in curing canker sores.
  • Drink un-pasteurized goat's milk and chamomile tea.
  • As a mouth rinse you can use blanched saliva or aloe vera juice.
  • Apply Aloe Vera juice as a mouth rinse.
  • Try brushing your teeth with backing soda. You can also apply backing soda topically on the ulcer.
