Question on treating impetigo

With the overuse of antibiotics an issue for me(HIV+), I was wondering if there was anything I could do naturally or even over the counter for a maddening case of impetigo(scalp, arms legs face).

Impetigo treatment

Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection that is dangerous simply because it is contagious. It can also be transmitted from one part of your body to another part of your body, so once it is rampant, it becomes difficult to control. One of the first things you have to take care of is that you must keep your skin dry and clean at all times. Cleanliness is of utmost importance in checking the spread of impetigo. You can make and store a paste of turmeric and clarified butter. This should be applied topically at least once a day and left on for a good hour at least. The colour of turmeric is very strong, so you need to be careful about that. You can also have a glass of hot milk with a teaspoon each of turmeric powder and honey mixed in twice a day. This will help in fighting infection from within. If the scabs are hurting you, you can apply a paste of sandalwood powder and rose water to them. This will soothe and cool. One of the best remedies to heal almost any kind of sore is aloe vera gel. If you can get fresh leaves of the plant, squeeze out the gel, apply it and let dry. This will help in getting rid of the infection and provide relief.
