Here is how to make your own preparation of olive oil for hair care: take half a cup of olive oil and add five or six drops of essential oils of your choice such as frankincense or lavender and blend it thoroughly. For the right blending technique, pour the oil into a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. Add the essential oil to the olive oil and put the lid on the jar. Shake the glass jar well in order to disburse the essential oil into the olive oil. Allow the jar to sit for 24-hours in a cool and dark corner. Prior to using the blend, shake the jar again before use. Rinse the hair with tepid water. Measure 2 tbsp of the olive oil and essential oil and warm it gently. With the help of your fingertips and not your nails, dip the fingers in the olive oil and massage into the scalp in circular motions. Doing so, continue to repeat the procedure until the entire scalp has been gently massaged. The remaining oil can be rubbed to the ends of the hair.
