Please name some old remedies for hair growth.

There are various causes for decreased hair growth or hair loss - lack of vitamins in diet, stress, worry, anxiety, heredity factors, prolonged illnesses or poor blood circulation. There is no definite remedy for hair growth, but there are some remedies that are known to help.
Mix these oils in 1 cup warm purified distilled water or tap water -
  •  ½ tsp margosa oil
  • ½ tsp teatree oil
  • 15 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil
Shake vigorously; the oils will try to separate from the water, so apply quickly. You can mix ½ cup almond or olive oil with the other oils instead of the water. As with all home remedies it is your responsibility to take adequate precautions. Please do a patch test first to make sure you have no allergic reactions although such reactions are rare. Note: if you are pregnant rosemary oil should not be used - please consult your doctor for advice before you take any further steps.
  • Massage your scalp with uncooked egg yolk and wash off after leaving it on for an hour. Olive oil massages are also known to be very helpful.
  • Rosemary is an invigorating and activating herb and could help with hair growth. You may try spraying rosemary water on your hair every morning; it has been known to help. Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons olive oil, rosemary, juice of 1 lemon and 1 egg yolk. Apply to your scalp as close to the roots as possible and wash off after 30 minutes.
Such remedies need to be repeated a few times before any results can be noticed.
Lifestyle changes like drinking a shake of bananas, honey, yogurt and low fat milk will help you to have strong roots as it is rich in biotin. Ensuring that your diet is rich in vitamin B6 and zinc is also good for your hair. Get rid of stress and get sufficient sleep. Try to avoid using the hair dryer and bend your head while shampooing to improve blood circulation.
