I am continuing on antibiotics for cellulites. How can I reduce the puffiness of my eyes and face.

Alternative remedy on cellulites

Cellulite is the deposit of fat and other material beneath the skin, giving the skin a dimpled appearance. Generally, to get rid of cellulite, it is advisable to simply eat a balanced diet, drink at least 1-2 liters of water a day, and avoid foods high in fat. In addition, you can try some of the following home remedies to prevent cellulite:

  • Use a body brush to cleanse your skin while taking a bath. This will improve blood circulation, and help remove toxins and metabolic waste from the tissues.
  • Dry brush your skin twice a week. This will also stimulate the development and repair of the tissues by increasing the blood flow to them.
  • Ask your doctor for a lower-estrogen dose formula in case you are taking contraceptive pills. These pills contain high levels of estrogen that cause an increase in the fatty tissues' ability to store fats.
  • Exercise and massage regularly to burn excess fat and improve skin tone.
  • Puffiness under the eyes is usually caused by water retention. Increasing your intake of water to at least 1-2 liters per day should solve this problem as well. Puffiness can also result from an increase in alcohol and salt intake, kidney and heart problems, flat pillows, or steroid usage. Some simple tips to reduce the puffiness are as follows:
  • Keep four spoons in a glass of chilled water. Place a spoon each on the eyes till they turn warm. Repeat the procedure with the next pair for instant relief.
  • Slice and keep two slices of cucumber over your eyes. The anti inflammatory properties of the cucumber will reduce the puffiness of the eyes.
  • Rub Vitamin E oil around your eyes before you sleep.
  • Cool wet green tea bags and keep them on your eyes till they are warm. This will also help in reducing the puffiness.
