Rooibos Tea
suggested by Mike on Saturday, January 3, 2009

If I remember to drink a mug of rooibos tea before retiring, I don't get cramps. Never saw this described anywhere but read somewhere that rooibos was rich in vitamins and trace minerals, so I tried it. I'm pretty sure different people have different causes for their cramps, so this may not work for everyone. I'd like to hear back if it works for you.

Quinine
suggested by Richard on Sunday, April 6, 2008

About forty years ago I was advised by a doctor to get Quinine tablets and cut them into four quarters, and anytime I got a cramp, just swallow a quarter of the tablet. It works every time. I carry the tablets in a small container, and they are with me wherever I go. I find that I get leg cramps when I drive, so when I feel a cramp coming on, I stop at a restaurant, or gas station, and take the tablet with some water, and the cramp quickly disappears.
